Carthage R-9 recognizes the value of the role support staff play in the success of students and the success of the Carthage R-9 district goals. The purpose of the Eye of the Tiger program is to recognize excellence in the departments in which they work and to inform the public of the exceptional quality of employees that work in the Carthage community. An Eye of the Tiger Award will be given to one person in each of the following categories:

• Custodial/Maintenance
• Food Service
• Instructional/Student Support Services - Paraprofessional, Instructional Assistant, Media  Aide, PAT, Nurse
• Administrative Support Services - Secretary, IT
• Transportation
