CHS Students and Parents,

We are extremely excited to begin enrolling for the 2026 CHS Summer School session. We have a diverse list of courses to offer this year. We will once again be completely seated. Classes will begin on May 27th  and conclude on June 24th. There are 3 sessions daily:

• Session 1 (Training and Nutrition Courses): Dates and times will be set by coaches. Some times may interfere with Session 2 or 3 seated classes. 

• Session 2: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

• Session 3: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Lunch is offered between Sessions 2 and 3 from 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. free of charge.

All courses will be in person. Therefore, attendance requirements will once again be in place. The state requires students to accumulate 60 seat hours in a class. Therefore, a student may only miss one day and still earn credit. Students will then be dropped from a class upon their 2nd absence. Transportation will be offered before Session 2 (8:00 a.m.) and after Session 3 (2:30 p.m.). Students leaving or arriving after session 2 will need to arrange transportation as they will not be allowed to hang out and wait for the bus.

I would like to share some specific information about 2 summer courses:

Credit Recovery: Students may enroll in credit recovery if they failed a seated class during the school year with a grade of 50% – 59%. In order to recover a credit, students must satisfactorily complete work from the failed class and acquire 30 seat hours. If a student completes their work and attends every day it would be possible to recover credit in 4 classes (2 credits). Please see your counselor for approval.

Virtual Learning: Virtual learning is an option for students looking to free up space in their schedule during the school year. It is also an opportunity for students who have fallen behind to catch up. If you were an online student for the 2025 – 2026 school year and need to continue working, this may be the spot for you. Please contact your counselor for permission to enroll in a virtual learning class.

Students will be enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please make sure to select an alternative choice for each session in case you do not get into your first choice. Online enrollment will close May 17th.
