CHS Students and Parents,

We are extremely excited to begin enrolling for the 2024 CHS Summer School session. We have a diverse list of courses to offer this year. We will once again be completely seated. Classes will begin on May 29^th  and conclude on June 26^th. There are 3 sessions daily:

• Session 1 (Training and Nutrition Courses): Dates and times will be set by coaches. Some times may interfere with Session 2 or 3 seated classes. 
• Session 2: 8:00 am – 11:00 am
• Session 3: 11:30 am – 2:30 pm

Lunch is offered between Session 2 and 3, from 11:00 am – 11:30 am free of charge.

All courses will be in person. Therefore, attendance requirements will once again be in place. The state requires students to accumulate 60 seat hours in a class. Therefore, a student may only miss one day and still earn credit. Students will then be dropped from a class upon their 2nd absence. Transportation will be offered before Session 2 (8:00 am) and after Session 3 (2:30 pm). Students leaving or arriving after session 2 will need to arrange transportation as they will not be allowed to hang out and wait for the bus.

2024 CHS Summer School Course Descriptions

I would like to share some specific information about 2 summer courses:
Credit Recovery:Students may enroll in credit recovery if they failed a seated class during the school year with a grade of 50% – 59%. In order to recover a credit students must satisfactorily complete work from the failed class and acquire 30 seat hours. If a student completes their work and attends every day it would be possible to recover credit in 4 classes (2 credits).

Virtual Learning:Virtual learning is an option for students looking to free up space in their schedule during the school year. It is also an opportunity for students who have fallen behind to catch up. If you were an online student for the 2023 – 2024 school year and need to continue working, this may be the spot for you. Please contact your counselor for permission to enroll in a virtual learning class.

2024 CHS Summer School Enrollment Form

Students will be enrolled on a first come, first serve basis. Please make sure to select an alternative choice for each session in case you do not get into your first choice. Online enrollment will close May 17^th. Padres y Estudiantes de CHS,

Así tan increíble que suena, ya es tiempo de registrarse para la sesión de escuela de verano del 2023. Tenemos una lista de cursos diversificados para ofrecer y estamos ansiosos de empezar. Esta sesión este año será completamente en asiento empezando el 29 de mayo y concluirá el 26 de junio. También, ofreceremos nuestras 3 sesiones usuales:

• Sesión 1: 6:00 am – 8:00 am (Clases de Entrenamiento y Nutrición) Las fechas y horarios serán asignados por el entrenador. Puede ser que los horarios puedan interferir con las sesiones de clases de asiento Sesión 2 y Sesión 3. 
• Sesión 2: 8:00 am – 11:00 am
• Sesión 3: 11:30 am – 2:30 pm

El almuerzo se ofrecerá entre medio de la Sesión 2 y 3, desde las  11:00 am – 11:30 am sin ningún costo.

Todos los cursos serán en persona. Así que, los requisitos de asistencia serán puestos de nuevo. El estado requiere que los estudiantes acumulen 60 horas de asiento en clase. Por lo tanto, los estudiantes solo pueden faltar un día y todavía recibir crédito. Los estudiantes serán dados de baja al recibir su segunda ausencia. Se ofrece transportación antes de la sesión 2 (8 am) y después de la Sesión 3 (2:30 pm). Los estudiantes que se van o llegan después de la sesión 2 necesitarán arreglar su modo de transportación por lo que no podrán pasar el tiempo y esperar por el autobús.

Descripciones de los cursos de la escuela de verano de CHS 2024

Quisiera compartir información específica acerca de dos cursos de verano:

Recuperación de Crédito: Los estudiantes pueden matricularse en recuperación de crédito si fallan una clase de asiento durante el año escolar con una calificación de 50% – 59%. Para poder recuperar el crédito, los estudiantes deben satisfactoriamente completar el trabajo de la clase reprobada y adquirir 30 horas de asiento. Si el estudiante completa su trabajo y asiste diario puede ser posible recuperar crédito en 4 clases. (2 créditos).

Aprendizaje Virtual:Aprendizaje Virtual es una opción para aquellos estudiantes que quieran abrir espacio en su horario de clases el próximo año escolar. También, es una oportunidad para aquellos estudiantes atrasados y tratar de terminar. Si usted fue un estudiante en línea para el año escolar 2020-2021 y necesita continuar trabajando, este es un lugar para usted. Por favor contacte a su consejera para permiso de matricularse en clases de aprendizaje virtual.

Los estudiantes se registran por orden de registración. Por favor asegúrense de seleccionar una clase alternativa para cada sesión en caso de que no entre en su primer seleccionamiento. La inscripción en línea se cerrará el 19 de mayo. Los estudiantes todavía se podrán matricular en persona el primer día de clases, el 30 de mayo.
